Whistler Village Beer Festival

This homegrown festival of craft beer is held annually in the fall and features a week of beer-fuelled fun with Oktoberfest, beer cocktail parties, tap takeovers and more. Everything culminates with a one-day Main Event at Whistler Olympic Plaza on the Saturday. Here’s what you need to know about the Whistler Village Beer Festival so you can plan your stay today.

Whistler Village Beer Festival Main Event

Saturday, September 14
12 – 6 PM | Whistler Olympic Plaza

Not to be missed, the Main Event presented by Gibbons Whistler & Brewhalla, features over 80 varieties of craft beverages including beer, cider and seltzers. Plus, enjoy food trucks, games and live music. Presented by Gibbons Whistler and Brewhalla.

Tickets include the following:

  • Access to the Main Event on Saturday
  • Official WVBF sampling mug
  • 3 beer tokens upon entry
  • Gates only access on Sunday, September 15
  • Access to 40+ craft beverage manufacturers and 80+ cider, beer, canned cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages

Patio Party Series Presented by Coast Mountain Brewing

Friday, September 6
2 – 6 PM | The Cure Lounge & Patio

Features great music from DJ Danny Bor, delicious food and drink features and lakeside vibes. Celebrate the incoming Whistler Village Beer Festival with last year's winner, Coast Mountain Brewing. Prizes available to win including a 2-pack of main event tickets, a Cure Lounge & Patio gift certificate and Coast Mountain swag.


Sip & Stretch Presented by The Bhavana Studio

Monday, September 9
5:30 PM | Bhavana Studio at Breakhaus

Beer: good. Yoga: good. Beer yoga: Great! Come sip on suds during an hour-long beer yoga session at 5:30 PM. This event includes a complimentary beer. Registration is $10. Limited mats available and this event tends to sell out.


Let’s Get Quizzical – Themed Edition

Wednesday, September 11
9 PM – Late | Tapley's Neighbourhood Pub

Put your knowledge to the test for a very special beer-themed edition of Whistler’s favourite quiz night. Expect all the usual ruckus and banter from the LGQ team with a beery twist!


An Evening of Food Pairing with Whistler Brewing Co.

Thursday, September 12
6 PM – Late | Whistler Brewing Co.

Indulge in a curated menu designed to complement the nuanced flavours of award-winning brews. The taphouse is welcoming a team of outsourced, hand-chosen chefs who have worked with brewers to design a pairing menu for you to enjoy. Whether you’re a beer aficionado or the gourmand of your group, this event is for anyone who enjoys good food and great company.


Axes & Ales

Friday, September 13
All Day – 12 AM | Forged Axe Throwing

Join the competition by registering to throw on the day. Each contestant gets their first local beer on the house and will be entered into the Axes and Ales competition. The winner receives a Forged Prize Pack including an axe throwing party for 4 and free merch!


Craft Beer Brunch

Saturday & Sunday, September 14 - 15
9 AM - 1 PM | Stonesedge Kitchen

Stonesedge Kitchen has teamed up with Grimm’s Fine Foods & Whistler Village Beer Festival to curate a brunch menu for the festivities. Stop by and see what the team has cooked up and fuel for your weekend. Takeovers on Polar Beer Tap’s Flex System


Longhorn Saloon Oktoberfest

Saturday, September 14
5 PM - 1 AM (Sat) 2 PM - 1 AM (Sun) | The Longhorn Saloon

Immerse yourself in the festive spirit as Whistler celebrates this renowned German event. Indulge in a true Bavarian experience as The Longhorn Saloon is transformed into a lively beer hall. Raise your stein high and toast to good times, great company, and to opening weekend of Oktoberfest in Munich! Guests receive an exclusive souvenir stein and the first beer on the house. BBQ presented by Grimm’s Fine Foods and Tap Takeover presented by Polar Beer Taps.
